World Bills, a global currency, was created in conjunction with the first Global Free Store in 2009. At the Free Store visitors could take anything in stock for free and contribute merchandise as well. Contributors to Free Store could also take away World Bills. These bills could be used to trade with other participants for goods or services. This special edition of the World Bill remains a valid monetary instrument. They can be purchased, or you can earn them in exchange for goods/services either executed for Fuse Works or the artists. Signed and numbered.
Double A Projects is Anna Stein and Athena Robles. Athena Robles was born in New York City, She began her art career in printmaking. Now making works on paper, sculptures and installations, she has exhibited nationally at The Contemporary Museum in Honolulu, The Soap Factory in Minneapolis, and The American Museum of Natural History in New York, among others. In her individual and group projects, Ms. Robles references community, assimilation, and social and historical issues. Her work is included in several private collections.
Anna Stein is a visual artist whose work investigates what we know about history and how we know it. She received a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University in 2001. Her work has been exhibited in New York and New England including Longwood Gallery, Front Room and Real Art Ways. She currently works in Brooklyn, NY creating site-specific installation, sculpture, prints and drawings which examine the potential for an alternative version of western art history.
