Pseudologia refers to the rare phenomenon ‘pseudologia fantastica’, in which fantasies and falsehoods are represented as real occurrences. The title mimics the role of the artist, who lives part of the time in an alternate reality; listening to objects, mining shapes, constructing and deconstructing images and coaxing them to give up their secrets.
Pseudologia examines the metaphysics of everyday objects, probing their unseen and in-between spaces. This collection of photographic experiments plays in zones of transition and slippage, highlighting unexpected relationships that lie beneath and beyond the surfaces we know. Signed and numbered.

California-born, Brooklyn-based artist Rebecca Horne has won awards for producing photography, video and illustration at the Wall Street Journal and Discover magazine among others.
She has taught fine art photography at the California College of the Arts and Rutgers University and has written on art, photography and science at Wired, CNN, the National Academy of Sciences, and Nautilus Magazine.
Her own photography has appeared in national publications and catalogs including Tèlèrama Magazine and Adbusters. Exhibition history includes solo exhibitions at Galerie Confluence in Nantes, France, Roebling Hall Gallery in New York City, the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, and group shows including City Hall in San Francisco with SF Arts Commission, and the Recontres Internationales de la Photographie d’Arles, France. She holds a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and a MFA from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.
