“Artistic collaboration as a foreign language problem.” So begins Pirmin Hagen’s and Christine Katscher’s artist book and collaboration Hand Luggage. The artists collected information toward a visual collaboration that would produce works of art that could not have been accomplished alone. These works were exhibited in an unusual gallery space in Brooklyn, NY. The visual collaboration in three dimensional space was then transformed and elaborated upon in a book. The result synthesizes the visual material into yet a different medium, a different artwork. Published by Open Source Gallery.
