Koseff developed these video players as a way to explore multiple aspects on a subject; in this case, motherhood. Each box contains 2 or 3 short looped videos based on a theme of motherhood. The box begins to play one of its short loops when the lid is opened. Closing and reopening the lid triggers the box to switch loops, providing the viewer with a participatory role in the piece.
The videos play on custom-built devices that use a microcontroller and open source software.
Included is a jump drive with Bill of Materials, instruction video, backup files, and 3d print files. Each set comes with signed and numbered certificate of authenticity
