Inspired in equal parts by Renato Bertelli’s Profilo continuo del Duce and by the mid-20th century Moldarama vending machine, the bust was made by rotating Abraham Lincoln’s profile 360° and printing the result using a 3d printer. Signed and numbered and packaged in a special carton.

Ethan Crenson was born in Baltimore, MD. He studied photography at Connecticut College and received his MFA in Photography and Related Media from the School of Visual Arts in 1995. His videos, photographs, sculptures and installations have been exhibited in galleries and museums in the New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Buffalo, and elsewhere in the US, and in Italy, Belgium, Germany, Japan, The Netherlands, and Israel. His work has been seen at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, Long Island City, NY; Anthology Film Archives, NY; Artists Space, NY; The Knitting Factory, NY; Maze Gallery, Turin; and Voorkamer, Lier, Belgium. Ethan sometimes collaborates with his wife Amanda Alic with whom he has a young son named Mac.
