A cut and fold octahedron depicting symbiotic pairs; a) wasp & fig b) moth & orchid c) angler fish & bacteria. An octahedron is a Platonic solid comprised of 8 equilateral triangles which can be found in nature as crystals, commonly of diamond and fluorite and in the molecular pattern of meteorites.
