Tom Burtonwood
Candy Dispenser Sphere Connector Prototype, 2014
3D Printed Plastic and found objects
24 in. x 24 in. x 24 in.
Edition: Open

Price: $800.00

This the second prototype in a series of work exploring Candy Dispensers as building materials for sculptural forms and interventions. In this piece Burtonwood was curious as to whether the Dispenser Stems could be arranged to produce edges and vertices similar to those found in simple platonic solids that are at the core of most 3D modeling programs. His goal is to produce the Spheres in conjunction with Pyramids, and Cubes to produce larger sculptural objects and decorative interiors.
