A full set of images from the Walter series, 2010. These are photographs of Kline’s ex-girlfriend’s uncle Walter’s shirts, which she kept after he passed away. Originally from Germany and immigrating after WW2, Walter worked as a mechanic for a NJ based company. There are five shirts and Kline photographed each one twice; showing his name and his company. The transcript enclosed with the portfolio is a conversation between Kline and his ex in which she talks about Walter and her family. Signed and numbered.

Nick Kline, is a photo-based artist residing in New York, NY. Selected solo exhibitions include: The Grounds for Sculpture; The Museum of Art of Puerto Rico; Momenta Art; Open Source Gallery; Prosjektrom Normanns; Sol Mednick Gallery; Uno Art Space; and UNTITLED Art Fair. Selected group exhibitions include: Allentown Art Museum; Minnesota Center for Photography; and Smack Mellon Studios. Reviews include: The New York Times; The Philadelphia Inquirer; Time-Out NY; and others. His book "The Meeting: On the Life and Work of Karl Spork," was released in January 2013 by Schlebrugge Editors, Vienna, Austria. His artists' publication "Sorry You're Here" was nominated in NATT & DAG Magazine, Norway, for a national Book of the Year Award, 2012. He received an MFA, Cranbrook Academy of Art, and BFA, University of the Arts. Kline is an Assistant Professor, Photography, Department of Arts, Culture and Media at Rutgers University-Newark.
